Helping Christians to Live and Operate as Jesus’ Mobile Church

Article 1 Being Christ’s Mobile Church As Christians, we often refer to the church as a physical building where we gather to worship and fellowship with other believers. However, the Bible teaches us that the church is not just a physical structure, but it is also the body of Christ made up of all believers in Jesus Christ. In Matthew 18:20, Jesus says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I the midst of them.” This means that wherever believers gather together in the name of Jesus, whether it be in a physical building or in a home, Christ is present in their midst. But being the church is not just about gathering together, it is also about being the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells his disciples, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” This means that as believers, we are called to be witnesses for Christ wherever we go, whether it be in our local community or in other parts of the world. However, to do this on Jesus’ behalf we must foster a relationship with Him through His Holy Spirit. Being Christ’s mobile church means that we are not confined to a physical location, but we are called to take the love and message of Jesus Christ with us wherever we go. Individually, we are called to be ambassadors for Christ. To represent him to those who do not know him. As Christ’s mobile church, we are also called to serve others and meet their needs. In Matthew 25:35-36, Jesus says, “For I was an hungred and ye gave me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in: naked and ye cloth me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison and ye came unto me.” This means that as Christ’s mobile church, we are called to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, provide clothing for those in need, care for the sick, and visit those in prison. To conclude, being Christ’s mobile church means that we are called to live out our faith wherever we go, whether it be in our local community or in other parts of the world. We are called to be witnesses for Christ, serving others and meeting their needs. May we be faithful in fulfilling this calling and may we always be ready to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with those around us. Are you already Christ’s mobile church?

Helping the Bride of Christ to prepare for Jesus’ return

Article 1 As disciples of Jesus, we are called to not only follow Him but also to help prepare His Bride for His return. The Bride of Christ refers to the Church, which is made up of all believers in Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 5:25-27, the Apostle Paul writes, “Christ loved the church and gave himself for it that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to himself as a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but it should be holy and without blemish.” This means that as followers of Jesus, we are called to help make the Church holy and blameless, and ready for the return of Christ. Here are a few ways that we can help prepare the Bride of Christ for His return: 1. Share the Gospel: The first step in preparing the Bride of Christ is to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This means that we are called to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with everyone we meet. 2. Disciple new believers: Once someone has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we need to help them grow in their faith and become mature disciples of Christ. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands His disciples to “make disciples” and this involves teaching them to obey everything that Jesus has commanded. We need to be intentional about discipling new believers and helping them grow in their faith. 3. Practice holiness: As followers of Jesus, we are called to live holy lives. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, Peter writes, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” This means that we need to be intentional about living lives that are pleasing to God and avoiding sin. 4. Love one another: In John 13:34-35, Jesus commands His disciples to love one another. “As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” This means that we need to be intentional about loving and caring for our fellow believers, and building up the Church as a community of love and support. 5. Pray for the Church: Finally, we need to be praying for the Church and asking God to help us prepare His Bride for His return. In 1 Timothy 2:1- 2, Paul writes, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” This means that we need to be praying for our fellow believers, our church leaders, and the Church as a whole. In conclusion, as disciples of Jesus, we are called to help prepare His Bride for His return. This involves sharing the Gospel, discipling new believers, practicing holiness, loving one another, and praying for the Church. May we be faithful in fulfilling this calling and may we always be ready for the return of our Lord and Saviour – Jesus. Jesus is coming back for His Bride soon, are you ready?
