Being Christ’s Mobile Church

As Christians, we often refer to the church as a
physical building where we gather to worship and
fellowship with other believers. However, the
Bible teaches us that the church is not just a
physical structure, but it is also the body of Christ
made up of all believers in Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 18:20, Jesus says, “For where two or
three are gathered together in my name, there am I
the midst of them.” This means that wherever
believers gather together in the name of Jesus,
whether it be in a physical building or in a home,
Christ is present in their midst.

But being the church is not just about gathering
together, it is also about being the hands and feet
of Jesus in the world. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells his
disciples, “But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come on you; and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the
earth.” This means that as believers, we are called to
be witnesses for Christ wherever we go, whether it
be in our local community or in other parts of the

world. However, to do this on Jesus’ behalf we must

foster a relationship with Him through His Holy Spirit.

Being Christ’s mobile church means that we are
not confined to a physical location, but we are
called to take the love and message of Jesus
Christ with us wherever we go. Individually, we are
called to be ambassadors for Christ. To represent him
to those who do not know him.

As Christ’s mobile church, we are also called to
serve others and meet their needs. In Matthew
25:35-36, Jesus says, “For I was an hungred and ye
gave me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave me
drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in:
naked and ye cloth me: I was sick and ye visited me: I
was in prison and ye came unto me.” This
means that as Christ’s mobile church, we are
called to feed the hungry, give water to the
thirsty, welcome the stranger, provide clothing for
those in need, care for the sick, and visit those in
prison.

To conclude, being Christ’s mobile church

means that we are called to live out our faith
wherever we go, whether it be in our local
community or in other parts of the world. We are
called to be witnesses for Christ, serving others
and meeting their needs. May we be faithful in
fulfilling this calling and may we always be ready
to share the love and message of Jesus Christ
with those around us.
